Who are we doing this for?
It happens more often than any of us want
to believe. Each
year, over 3 million American children are reported as physically,
emotionally, sexually abused or severely neglected.
Royal Family Kids’ Camps is designed especially for these
children. It gives children who have been removed from their
homes and placed in the Forsyth County foster care system a life
changing experience. It provides a safe, loving environment
where positive memories are created for abused and neglected children
ages 7-11 in a one – week camp experience.
At Royal Family Kids’ Camp, each child is under constant supervision
and given the special attention that they so desperately need. We
assign a counselor for every two campers and staff members to offer
extra support. They receive a lot of love, respect and compassion
from positive role models. Every fun activity, event, project
and sport, from swimming, horseback riding, fishing, archery, and
woodworking is designed for our children’s success so that
their fragile self-esteem can be rebuilt.
This year, we will be taking 30 children
that are in Forsyth County’ Foster
Care System to camp. They will receive undivided adult attention.
They will play, paint, swim and sing. They will come home with CDs
of camp songs, tote bags, t-shirts, photos of their week and happy
memories to carry them through the rest of the year.
